SWIMMABLE BEACHES IN LOS CABOS
If you are planning a trip to Los Cabos most of the upscale resorts do NOT have swimmable beaches due to rip currents and high waves from the region’s geographical location. The following is a list of swimmable beaches in Los Cabos:
Lover’s Beach is arguably the best beach in Cabo San Lucas because of rock cliffs that create stunning views, with the prettiest waters, and it is secluded. Inorder to get to Lover’s Beach you will need to board a water taxi, rent a kayak or jet ski to make the trip from Playa Medano. Make plans to bring a lunch if you plan to stay here for any length of time as there are no restaurants. Seals are known to hang out on the far cliffs from time to time.
If you are looking for a beach with plenty of food options nearby then Medano Beach is the place to be. Because of the food options, it is one of the most popular beaches. There are tons of eateries and bars ready to serve up tasty treats and drinks to choose from. It is one of the safest beaches to swim at in Cabo, and you can also enjoy a number of water sports and other beach activities.
Santa Maria Beach is shaped like a horse-shoe surrounded by natural beauty. It is an ideal spot for swimming and snorkeling since it is part of a marine sanctuary. Do bring a picnic lunch and your beach gear because it is another secluded area.
Chileno Beach is a family dream because of its calm and shallow waters. It is also another great place for anyone who wants to snorkel because the water is so clear. Chileno Beach draws a bigger crowd due to its location in the tourist corridor of San Jose del Cabo, but do not let that stop you from visiting. You may even spot some sea turtles here.
Palmilla Beach is another secluded beach. It is a great place to sunbathe and join in water sports. You can also watch the locals return from fishing and see what big catch they may have made.
Other swimmable beaches in Los Cabos include Empacacadora, Hacienda, Acapulquito and Las Viudas.
