Days 1 – 2 | Start your vacation in Sydney and settle into your superior Opera House city-view room at Shangri-La Hotel, Sydney for four nights. After exploring Sydney, dine at Altitude Restaurant – enjoy creative Australian gastronomy with well defined European influences. Your taste buds will love the complementing blends of varying textures and temperatures.
Day 3 | Discover the magnificent Sydney Opera House Tour & Tasting. You will discover firsthand the intriguing history and stories of this World Heritage site, and then savor a three-tier gourmet tasting plate or Japanese bento tower at the Opera Kitchen – known for its incredible harbor views and the city’s finest chefs. Your superb tasting menu may include oysters, sushi from Kenji, dumplings and Peking duck pancakes from Misschu, plus plank-roasted salmon from Cloudy Bay Fish Co., and mini Wagyu burgers and chili crab burgers from Charlie and Co. Day 4 | Delve into Australia’s vast landscapes with the Hunter Valley and Wilderness excursion. After you have had morning tea, you’ll arrive at a magnificent park where you will discover native wildlife. You will travel through national parks to the historic town of Wollombi, and then arrive in Hunter Valley for a tantalizing wine tasting at a boutique winery. Then you will continue on to two additional exquisite wineries and enjoy lunch, a gourmet tasting experience, and cheese and wine pairing. Commemorate your last day in Sydney with a visit to an exceptional chocolate shop.
Day 5 | Today you will transfer to Park Hyatt Melbourne for three nights in a park deluxe spa room. In the afternoon, experience the Garden Party High Tea served on vintage china. You will delight in loose leaf tea, handmade petites, mouthwatering pastries and artisan sweets, designed by Executive Chef Dan Clouston. Day 6 | Immerse in the Yarra Valley Food and Wine Journey, stopping at four district locales for private wine tastings, lunch and regional produce. Then end your day at Yarra Valley Dairy for a sampling of delicious handmade cheeses, award-winning local jams, cider and beer from neighboring breweries.
Day 7 – 8 | Delight in a sumptuous dinner on the Tramcar Restaurant – a 1927 tram that has been converted into a magnificent restaurant on wheels. You will travel along the charming streets of Melbourne while savoring a five-course dinner with a selection of premium Australian wines and beers.
