Your first night at this beautiful resort, you will enjoy a 3-course welcome dinner in Las Casitas Beachside Restaurant (located at the Marriott), with your choice of a glass of wine or a cocktail.  Be impressed with the innovative contemporary Mexican cuisine which is the perfect way to introduce you to your awaiting culinary experience. The restaurant has incredible views of the bay, and it offers a fusion of continental and traditional Mexican ingredients.  The amazing aromas and flavors are created and combined with passion and expertise by the resort chefs.

Puerto Vallarta City Tour.  Experience a private city tour of a traditional Mexican town, enjoy its cobblestone streets and red roof houses.  The downtown venue will immerse you into Puerto Vallarta’s hospitable people.  The Sierra Madre Mountains embrace Banderas Bay, as this tour takes you south of Puerto Vallarta for amazing views of the bay, so be ready for memorable pictures. 

Observe the colors, aromas and transformations of fresh cut herbs, and dried chilies that exude a truly sensory experience.  The Mexican specialties include a variety of salsas, guacamole and enchiladas from the menu.  Your chef will teach hands-on techniques that can add a burst of flavor to every recipe.  You can then join the chef in the kitchen for a memorable luncheon that you helped prepare.


Hors d’oeuvres and Desserts Cooking Class.  These can range from sophisticated and complex to deliciously informal.  You will learn the skills and recipes, and discover how to bring the vivid flavors of Mexico to your table.  Appetizers make a big impression, and you will learn the intricacies of regional hors d’oeuvres that may include tortillas, guacamoles, tacos, sopes and salsas utilizing seasonal ingredients.  You will practice creative garnishing, plating and presentation techniques.  After doing so, enjoy your creations, and experience first-hand the culinary versatility of Mexico’s hors d’oeuvres.


Introduction to Tequila with a Five-Course Tequila Dinner Menu.  Enjoy the home brewed Casa Magna Tequila, as well as dinner in the La Cava Wine Cellar where you will experience regional cuisine at its finest.  You will be greeted by Sommelier Audrey who will explain the art of tequila making and tequila tasting.  “Pure Tequila” has a smoky flavor, and taste very different from anything you have experienced before.  Your host will walk you through each step of this generational process.  You will also be given a bottle to take home.  CasaMagna Marriott is the one and only resort in the world with its own brand of tequila, and grows the blue agave on the property.  This gourmet specialty dinner includes 5 courses with tequila as an ingredient in each course.


Food and Wine Pairing Class with Gourmet Dinner.  This evening your personal sommelier will teach you the art of pairing the perfect wine with any entrée or dessert.  During this multiple course dining experience, you will savor everything from deep cherry Cabernets, rich dark Shiraz to crisp Chardonnays and fruity Rieslings.  Take in the innovative, contemporary Mexican cuisine that combines a fusion of traditional and continental Mexican ingredients.  This epicurean journey is designed to teach you the basics (weight, acidity, intensity, tannin and sweetness) to choose the perfect wine to accompany any meal.


Ceviche Cooking Class.  This is cooking without really cooking.  Ceviche must be prepared with extremely fresh seafood.  The raw fish will be marinated in citrus juice with lime or lemon, with chilies, onions, salt and coriander.  You will learn the many variations and serving suggestions.  Ceviche is light and refreshing, making it very popular on the beach.


Private Candlelight Farewell Dinner on the Beach.  Tonight you will enjoy a private candlelight dinner designated especially for you on the beach under the stars.  There are spectacular city and bay views for the perfect farewell setting to Puerto Vallarta.  This will be an exquisite five-course dinner to feed your senses and taste buds.
