Day 1 – Arrival | Rim Hike | Welcome Dinner

The Stonebridge Inn – With only 93 spacious guest rooms and suites on a slope-side location, bask in the renowned reputation of their outstanding guest services.  

You will be given a short orientation hike up the Rim Trail, which leads to one of Snowmass Village’s most scenic views.  Once you have stretched your legs, return to the hotel to enjoy a welcome dinner at the Artisan Restaurant.  Discover the locally sourced, seasonal cuisine featuring only the freshest ingredients.  Chef Steve Sterritt and his team will create unique works of culinary art designed to introduce you to the tastes of Colorado.

Day 2 – High Country Breakfast featuring unique omelets, waffles, French toast, pancakes, egg dishes, smoked salmon and house made granola.  Be sure and fuel up before your adventurous day.

Roaring Fork Biking | Slow Food Farming | Lunch

Feel free this morning to settle in and familiarize yourself with your surroundings.  Later in the morning you will be picked up, and will head to the Rio Grande Trail, which is a paved bike trail that follows the banks of the Roaring Fork River.  Your first stop will be Rock Bottom Ranch, a working ranch that also serves as an educational facility for the Aspen Center of Environmental Studies to teach guests about slow food farming and ecological agricultural practices.  You will take a short tour of the farm, and then enjoy box lunches under a willow tree.

Distillery Tour and VIP Tasting | Four-Course Beer Dinner

After you have finished lunch, you will get back on your bike and ride into the foodie haven of Carbondale.  You will tour the valley’s new craft distillery, Marble Distilling Company, where the head brewer will show you how his award-winning beers are brewed, discuss the brewing process, and the adjustments that must be made for each different craft beer. After the tour, you will take part in a VIP tasting session where you will have a chance to try each of their products, and enjoy one of their signature cocktails.  The evening will conclude at Town Restaurant, known for their locally sourced foods.  You will enjoy a four-course beer dinner with the Roaring Fork Beer Company, a local brewery.

Day 3 – High Country Complimentary Breakfast

Wine Country Lunch with Wine Pairing  | Cider Mill | Artisan Cheese Farm Tour

Head out today over McClure Pass to the lush North Fork valley, home to Colorado wine country.  Tour some of the valley’s best vineyards, and enjoy a gourmet lunch and wine pairing at one of the best wineries.  After lunch, you will be hosted on a tour of Big B’s fruit orchard and cider mill before heading to Avalanche Cheese, a working goat farm, and home to some of the best artisan cheeses in the state. Dinner this evening will on your own back in Snowmass Village or Aspen.

Day 4 – High Country Complimentary Breakfast

Back Country Hike | Hands-On Cooking Class with Dinner

No visit to Aspen/Snowmass would be complete without seeing some of the high country terrain the state is known for.  Enjoy a half-day hike through thick aspen groves and open alpine meadows , under the shadow of one of Colorado’s iconic 14,000 foot peaks. The hike is moderate enough for almost any athletic ability.  See the wildlife that is rich in this area.  After this invigorating hike, you will head into Aspen to the Aspen Cooking School for a private hands-on culinary experience.  You will prepare dinner under the guidance of chefs, sommeliers and culinary professionals.  You will certainly have enough for dinner, and they will get you back to Snowmass Village early enough to enjoy a night under the stars, or perhaps a rodeo.

Day 5  High Country Breakfast

Aspen Food Tour | Back Country Jeep Tour | Historical Tour of Ashcroft

Today you will have a food tour that highlights the culinary hotspots in Aspen that only locals know about.  Your guide will take you to 5-6 locations for tastings of local pleasures and short talks by the chef’s who take great pride in what they do.  Once you are full and satisfied, you will depart for a back country jeep tour that will surely take your breath away.  The 4-wheel drive jeeps will take you up the front side of Aspen Mountain, out Richmond Ridge toward Taylor Pass, a high country road that traverses terrain about 11,000 feet.  The jeeps will then go into the Castle Creek Valley, where you will take a short historical tour of Ashcroft, a ghost town that had a population larger than Aspen where you are free to choose whichever restaurants fits your mood for dinner on your own.

Day 6 – High Country Breakfast

Maroon Bells Hike | Picnic Lunch | Hybrid Cruiser Bike Tour to Aspen | BBQ Sunset Dinner | Brew & Spirits Tasting | Bonfire

Maroon Bells is known as the most photographed peaks in North America.  After a short 3-mile hike, you can enjoy a light lunch of local foods at a picnic spot along Maroon Creek.  Then climb on hybrid cruiser bikes for a gentle downhill ride into Aspen on paved surfaces.  The 10-mile cruise is a great way to see black bears or moose hanging out in the Maroon Creek Valley.   

After some relaxation back at your hotel, you will climb into jeeps and head up Snowmass Mountain for a back country sunset dinner.  The BBQ dinner begins by climbing to the Coney Glade overlook where you will be treated to local brews and spirits tasting by the onsite crafters themselves, who will explain a little about each of their creations.  Dinner will take place outside a historic sheep herders cabin, which includes a musician and an even spent around a raging bonfire.

Day 7 – High Country Breakfast

Check-Out and Departure – Time flies when you are having fun, but all things must come to an end.
