We were excited to go on a recent 15-day vacation, and what I found is that we loved to eat the food indigenous to the areas we traveled to, hence the re-branding. The cruise ended in Puerto Rico where I learned how to make mofongo (fried green plantains with garlic and deep fried pork skins using a wooden pilon (mortar and pestle) which is a traditional dish in Puerto Rico. Plus, I find travelers are wanting a more immersive vacation where they actually participate and learn about a culture.
Our travel destinations immerse you culturally through culinary experiences. What better way to experience a destination than through its food. You are provided with “hands-on” cooking classes, visits to local markets, important landmarks in destinations, and free time to spend as you please.
We also offer customized cooking vacations, as well as softer culinary journeys with an emphasis on food. We think there is no better way to experience a destination than through its food.
